What it is
Call of Duty is a long-running military first-person shooter series, and Modern Warfare is its most popular sub-series. Titles under this name are made by Activision studios and released annually on console and PC, with streamers covering each new one heavily on Twitch.
What they actually see
On screen, a player moves through a realistic city, base or map in first person, aiming down a rifle sight and shooting other human players, with blood effects, respawns and a scoreboard after each short round. Between matches, viewers see loadout menus for attaching scopes and grips to guns, plus a battle pass screen of cosmetic rewards.
