What Recess Report is

Recess Report is an information service for parents: a website and email briefing about what is trending in youth internet culture, built from public, aggregate data and explained calmly. By using the site or subscribing, you agree to these terms and confirm you are at least 18 years old.

What it is not

Recess Report is general cultural information, not advice: not safety advice, not medical or psychological advice, not legal advice, and not a substitute for your own judgment about your own child. Trends move fast; public data can lag, and automated detection can be wrong. We work hard to be accurate and honest about confidence, but you should treat every entry as a well-researched starting point for your own thinking, never as a verdict.

Your subscription

The briefing is free during early access. You can unsubscribe at any moment with the link in every email, and that takes effect immediately. If we ever introduce paid tiers, nothing moves you onto one without your explicit say-so.

Fair use

The site and decoder are for personal use. Don't scrape the site at volume, hammer the APIs, republish the briefing wholesale as your own, or use the service to send spam. Quoting entries with credit is welcome; that is what they are for.

Whose stuff is whose

The writing, design, and data compilations here are ours or licensed to us. The platforms we report on, including Roblox, Fortnite, YouTube, Twitch, Apple, and others, own their own names and trademarks; Recess Report is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of them. When we link to their pages, their terms apply there.

The unavoidable legal paragraph

The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes and endings

We may change or discontinue features as the product evolves; if a change to these terms matters, we will announce it in the briefing before it takes effect. We may suspend access that violates the fair-use rules above. You can leave at any time, and taking your data with you is covered in the privacy policy.

This policy is published in several languages. Where translations differ, the English version governs.
