La Perversa - Mona (Video Oficial)
What it is
This is the official music video for Mona by La Perversa, a Dominican dembow artist. Dembow is a fast, percussive Caribbean club genre that has spread widely through TikTok.
What they actually see
A short, brightly styled video with La Perversa performing to camera surrounded by dancers, quick cuts, bold outfits and club-style lighting. The Spanish lyrics are boastful and flirtatious in the usual dembow register, with adult innuendo and slang.

Why kids love it
The beat is relentless and the choreography is very copyable, which makes it a natural soundtrack for dance clips.
Worth knowing
Dembow lyrics and dance styling are aimed at adult club audiences, so the words and the moves are more grown up than the cartoonish visuals suggest.
One way in
That song is everywhere right now. Do you know what the Spanish lyrics are actually saying?
