What it is

Murder Mystery 2 is a Roblox social deduction game where one player is secretly the murderer, one is the sheriff with a gun, and everyone else must survive and work out who is who. Created by Nikilis, it is a platform classic with nearly 30 billion visits and rounds of up to 12 players.

What they actually see

Players run around a small map hiding and watching each other while the murderer eliminates people with a knife, producing a brief blocky collapse rather than any gore. Between rounds, players trade and show off collectible knife skins, which are a whole economy of their own.

Why kids love it

The thrill of accusing the wrong person, or of being the murderer and getting away with it, makes every round a story worth retelling.

Worth knowing

The violence is stylised and bloodless, but the knife-trading scene involves random crate unboxes and player-to-player deals where scams are common.
