[🥚] Adopt Me!

What it is

Adopt Me! is one of Roblox's biggest games, where players hatch and raise pets, decorate homes, and trade with other players. It has been running since 2017 and regularly draws hundreds of thousands of simultaneous players.

What they actually see

Kids buy eggs that hatch into randomized pets of different rarities, feed and grow them through baby to fully-grown stages, decorate a house, and roleplay as families with friends. A large part of the game is the trading screen, where players offer pets and items to each other, with ongoing updates adding new eggs, storage, and limited-time creatures like the Kiwi Kiwi and Strawberry Tortle.

Why kids love it

The pets are genuinely adorable, and the trading economy gives kids a real sense of collecting, valuing, and negotiating that feels grown-up.

Worth knowing

Eggs hatch randomly and premium ones cost Robux, and the player-run trading scene has a long history of scams and off-platform deals, so it's the trading rather than the pets that needs a parent's attention.
