Blossoms - Additional Driver (feat. Declan McKenna)
What it is
This is the official music video for 'Additional Driver', a single by the British indie-pop band Blossoms featuring Declan McKenna, taken from their sixth album 'Songs From The Wedding Cake'. It was released on the band's official Vevo channel ahead of the album's October release.
What they actually see
The video pairs the band performing with narrative footage, and the lyrics use a road-trip framing, with lines about approaching junctions and driving, as a metaphor for sharing responsibility in a relationship. It's gentle, wry and adult in tone rather than explicit.

Why kids love it
Blossoms make bright, singable guitar pop, and the Declan McKenna feature pulls in fans of both acts at once.
Worth knowing
Nothing to worry about here; it's a mainstream indie release with no flagged explicit content.
One way in
That Blossoms song is all about driving as a metaphor. What do you think it's actually about?
