Why kids love it
Rod Wave sings about feeling misunderstood and carrying pain in a way that lands hard for teenagers figuring out who they are.
Worth knowing
Marked Explicit, so expect swearing and references to violence, drugs and loss, even though the overall tone is reflective rather than aggressive.
One way in
Rod Wave songs always sound kind of sad to me. Is that part of why you like him?
